Flaky foundation help?

my skin is a combination of dry/oily skin. idk how its possible but it is lol. i exfoliate for acne and i use a neutrogena cleanser and i use moisturizer so it’s not a problem of i dont exfoliate/moisturize or watever. So i just bought this 10 dollar foundation and i went from my jade mineral foundation to that revlon lift foundation. the reason is because i didnt think the other foundation was my right shade. anyways well this foundation is thick and i like it for some reason. the problem is that wen i tried putting it on twice already it looked soooo flaky. i could see my dry skin but the thing is i use a tinted moisturizer and a moisturizer b4 i apply it and b4 i didnt have a problem with the other foundation but now i do. i dont want to have to go buy a primer or anything else.. is there anything else i can do? sorry this is so long and best answer will be awarded 10 pts

Well, the reason it is so flacky is because your not using the right moisturizer for your skin type.
when people have oily combination skin, the skin is not dry, it is dehydrated.
Dry skin is when the skin is missing OIL
Dehydrated is when the skin is missing water.

they often mistaken this and tend to put products that are too thick or too light.
In your case; I will assume you are usuing a moisturizer for oily skin or a matifier… that sucks out all the oil and makes it even more deyhrated.

Try usuing Serums or fluides textures which is for combination/dehydrated skin. Therefore; you wont add more oil into your oily skin but you will add water to satisfy your combination. You will not break out; you will balance your skin.

The key to good flawless foundation is moisture underneath!
