To highlight the work set for the diff. vs blonde hair brown? Set why they are recommended for hair color diff?

I would appreciate information if anyone knows why they recommend. Series highlights a different shade depending on color. / Of your hair I want to do blonde highlights hair But my hair is between light brown and medium brown, so I do not know. To set my lighter or darker, and whether the impact is different on my hair, depending on who I choose. I bought Revlon Frost and highlighted blond Glow series But I do not know how to use it. There are more chemicals in the series will be darker because of more time to reduce the weight of dark hair? (That was just guessing and I would like to know the real answer.) Thanks!
