Great permanent hair coloring, that DOES NOT damage hair.?

My mom has very dark brown hair, and she wants to permanently dye it black (has few gray hairs). She tried Nice & Easy, but it prevented her hair from growing. Now she’s trying Colorsilk by Revlon (10 black). This product is amonia-free, unlike Nice & Easy. My mom likes it better, but is still looking for a more natural hair coloring product, that will do less damage to her hair. Thank you so much!

L’Oreal Excellence Creme. My mom uses it monthly. It has a triple protection and it covers her greys completely. [There's a pre-treating serum to protect hair during colouring, and afterwards a conditioner to seal the colour.] It doesn’t have a strong smell either, and it comes with this non-drip comb that makes it super easy to use.
