Is this a good makeup routine…?

Ok first I wash my face and apply a moisturizer…….

Then I put on some revlon colorstay active foundation (its a little lighter than the original colorstay) after that I put a little bit of revlon blemish concealer on a couple blemishes….then I set it with revlon colorstay pressed powder……

For my eyes I use a neutral eyeshadow with a little black eyeliner and some mascara….then I apply a some clear lipgloss……is this a good makeup routine for someone who is 15…..

For me, that would be a terrible routine, simply because I do not like wearing foundation, or liquid foundation that is.

The cleansing and moisturizing is key, so as long as your products work well with your skin, then those first steps are a good start.

As for the foundation, concealer and powder, the order is good, especially because it ensures that you are less likely to apply as much foundation and concealer to cover specific areas. As long as you apply with a light hand and blend it out all properly, then this is a good routine. However, if it looks obvious, then it is not. If you have decent skin (which I don’t even have, but I do not wear foundation) then try to wear as little foundation as possible, or even none.

As for the eye makeup, I could say that it seems appropriate for someone your age. There really is no one good or bad routine, as it all comes down to personal preference. As long as you are applying your face makeup very sparingly, blending it out properly, and wearing your makeup properly, that’s all that matters.

To DOLLZ: Splashing your face with cold or hot water will not “open” or “close” your pores. Pores don’t actually have the ability to close or open, as there are no muscles associated with the pores. They CAN temporarily dilate open and close depending on the temperature of the water, but it’s only for a short time. It’s good to apply heat before using a mask, and nice to use cold water to help soothe the face, but it will not affect how your make up goes on (other than the hot water making your skin warmer, which could end up melting the makeup slightly at first)
