Macy’s Products Plz Help!!!!!!?

ok, so i have a gift card to spend at macy’s and i already bought a ton of clothes from there, and now i want to buy something from the cosmetics department. no purfume just makeup. can anyone recommend good and practical products for me to buy? i’m looking of maybe liquid eyeliner, or a pretty eyeshadow. maybe even some lipglosses or lipcolors. i’m a teen so nothing too mature just natural and sheer. thanks in advance any good, waterproof makeup would be good.
ps. i usually buy lancome products which i think are great, but what specific products from lancome or any other company (estee lauder, etc) are good? mascara, liner, shadow, lipgloss. all good.

I used to work at Macy’s and my mos did as well, in the make-up department. The best skincare is generally at Shiseido, they also have the best mascara. Shiseido’s regular powder make-up is not great, but I love their hydro-powder creamy eyeshadows, they really last on me and are super easy to apply.

I’m not sure if Prescriptives still carries the Moonbeam line of metallic shadows but mine last forever and are perfect the next morning if I’m exhausted to wash my face.

If you really want color, go for MAC. I love lipgloss, epecially MAC’s Lip Gelee line.

Clinique has a great eyeliner that hold the best; it takes getting used to applying it from the little tub with a brush but it is worth it! The eyeliner is also hypo-allergenic- still, don’ t line the inner part of your eye with it b/c it will get itchy then. If you buy this liner, do not wear it unless you have good make-up remover. This eyeliner comes in a little tub, lasts forever, and tends to be out of stock a lot where I shop. Do not buy a pricey makeup remover, Neutrogena’s eye make-up remover will do the job for 1/4 of the price.

Also, if you like to replicate celebrity make-up, you MUST have a good set of brushes and practice using them. I’m still figuring it out but they help. I’m not an expert on brushes but my Lancome set is fantastic.

Bare Minerals is honestly the best base/cover-up…do not buy foundation or anything like that from Macy’s. The best is really by Bare Minerals.

I’m not sure how old you are but 17+ should start wearing eye cream for preventative measures. Shiseido has a superb eye cream for older women but my sleep deprived eyes have seen little results from their younger eye cream line. I think I may need to switch to their more powerful eye cream thought. It did minimize the dark circles and puffiness like it said. Otherwise, I would sway away from Estee Lauder and Lancome, head to Chanel, Prescriptives, Clinique, and compare.

My top recommendations: Shiseido eye shadow, Clinique liner, some eye cream, and Lip Gelee gloss.

One last caution, those make-up lines are not great at getting their employees trained so get help from an employee that’s been their at least a year to be safe.
