Eyeliner problem?

i use an estee lauder black eyeliner, but this happens with my other one too (i dont know the brand) and my stila eyeliner also. what happens is i go to school and my eyeliner looks good, but when i get home, it has smudged a little underneath. how do i stop this from happening? i dont have watery eyes or rub them either.

It’s a pretty common (and annoying) problem. I get it too, and doubly as bad when I use mascara. Refrain from using too much moisturizer around your eyes.. that makes your skin soft and allows for smudging. Opt for something like an eye gel instead, and check that it absorbs well before you put any eyeliner on. Also, putting translucent powder under your eye with a small brush BEFORE and AFTER putting eyeliner on helps as well, because as answers above have said, it sets the eyeliner in. If you find this happening w/ mascara like it happens to me, an awesome product to use is Shiseido The Makeup Mascara Base (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P173725&categoryId=C16011) it works amazing, and keeps it from smudging. You can also try waterproof eyeliner! I don’t like the look of it personally, and it irritates my already sensitive eyes, but I’m sure it works.
