Clinique Quick Eyes Cream Shadow or Mac Paint Pot?

Which one would be a good eyeshadow base/primer if used in a neutral color?

MAC paint pot. I’m not really a huge fan of a lot of cliniques make up products. MAC paint pots are excellent as a primer, I used to use Too faced shadow insurance but now I always use paint pots. Also if you look around videos on youtube with make up gurus, most of them use paint pots, i’ve not yet seen anyone use Clinique’s cream eyeshadow as a base.
